Community Emergency
Response Teams (CERT)
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.

The FEB Supports the:

On July 9, 2009, the Baltimore FEB Executive Director, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to support and encourage participation in the U.S. Army Reserve Employer Partnership. The Baltimore FEB is now a supporting partner.
In April 2008, the US Army Reserve launched the Employer Partnership. This one-of-a-kind joint venture offers America’s business leaders tangible incentives to hire Army Reserve Soldiers. The benefit to employers is that the Army Reserve can offer Army-trained X-ray technicians, truck drivers, nurses, information technicians and police officer candidates.
The Employer Partnership is a new Human Capital Strategy developed by the Chief of the Army Reserve to provide staffing solutions and business incentives. The program is an innovative way to gain access to America’s greatest pool of talent and get meaningful benefits at the same time.
The men and women of the Army Reserve are hard at work in our community. They are our neighbors and friends, our community leaders, small business owners and public workers. Companies all across America, in cities and towns, employ Army Reserve Soldiers as accountants, human resource managers, medical professionals, city planners, attorneys, transportation specialists, teachers, law enforcement officers, engineers and communication network experts, to name a few.
